...of this weekend is "catching up." That's all I've done, and it's about time.
- With friends, new and newer. We had a "Ladies of Epic" night out, and it was a great time. About twelve of us got together to eat an awesome meal, relax, and laugh. I love this group of females...there's a real sense of friendship and comraderie that I've never really felt before. We are all of different ages, backgrounds, whatever...but we all have at least one thing in common. Our differences are awesome conversation points. I've gotten to know some of them fairly well over the last 7 months, but others I met for the first time. It was so great, I can't wait to get together again!
I also went out on Saturday night for my wonderful friend Kristin's birthday. She had this great idea to go ice skating. Well, when I first heard about it, the ice skating sounded great. She used to skate a lot as a kid, so she was like a pro out there. Everyone else did pretty well also. Me? Ugh... I gripped the side half the time. The other half I looked like I was having a seizure. No more ice skating for me!
- With cleaning! Having 4 cats can be a lot of work. It's worth it when you think about the happiness they bring, but man oh man...talk about vacuuming. It never ends. Not only that, we have a new roommate. Should we start our sitcom now or later?
Cody's best man, Joey, moved in this weekend. After some issues with his now ex-girlfriend, he needed to get out of his living situation and get out of it fast. We have an extra room, so we invited him to stay with us until he gets on his feet. It works out for us in many ways - financially, more guy time for him and Cody, and more me time! Oh yeah, and free cable. Good to know a cable guy :) It'll be awfully cozy here for a few months, but it'll make for good stories.
- With organization! Since Christmas, we've been wanting to redo the living room. We finally got to it this weekend. It looks much better now, and definitely allows for more room for visitors.
- With Cody...for sure. It's like we've had this string of bad luck since the last snowstorm. Losing things, constantly being busy, work problems, figuring out money, etc etc etc. It's been neverending! We finally broke out of our rut this week. We met with our pastor who will be officiating the wedding, and that so helped. We've decided to have a weekly date night, away from the house and out of our element, so we can make sure that we talk about certain things and just enjoy our time alone. Even if it's just walking along the tow path.
- Lost! Final season and I've so not been into it. More like I haven't had time. But it's onnnnn...
